Frank Hoogerbeets is a Dutch researcher of Australian descent who provides information on natural phenomena such as earthquakes and volcanic activity. Although there are no scientists in fields such as Geology, Seismology, he has concentrated on seismology and astrology for many years with his own efforts. In his own words; He is known for establishing a link between seismic activity and celestial alignments. In other words, based on the positions of the sun and moon in the sky, it claims that a number of natural disasters may occur on earth.
However, his theories and predictions on natural disasters such as earthquakes are not supported by mainstream science, while the vast majority of seismologists and geologists find his claims unconvincing. It is worth noting that there is no scientific evidence to support the idea that planetary positions in the sky have any direct effect on seismic movements on Earth.
So which earthquakes did Hoogerbeets predict?
Frank Hoogerbeets made his first earthquake prediction on April 20, 2015. In his Facebook post, Hoogerbeets claimed that the dates of April 22-27 could be dangerous due to the position of the planets. Following Hoogerberts’ claim, a 7.8 magnitude earthquake struck Nepal on April 25, 2015, killing at least 8,000 people.
Hoogerbeets’ predictions were not limited to the Nepal earthquake. He also predicted the 5.8-magnitude Istanbul earthquake on September 26, 2019, with the epicenter in Silivri.
Hoogerbeets also predicted the 7.7-magnitude earthquake in Ecuador a few days in advance.
Finally, on February 3, 2023, Hoogerbeets made a post on Twitter, targeting Turkey, Syria region and wrote that “sooner or later there will be a 7.5 magnitude earthquake in this region.” In the end, his last prediction turned out to be correct. On February 6, 2023, the Elim Gaziantep-Kahramanmaraş earthquakes, whose epicenter was Şehitkamil and Ekinözü, took place.
Especially after this latest prediction, an extraordinary increase in the number of followers of Frank Hoogerbeets attracted attention. Hoogerbeets, which has come to the forefront with its accurate predictions since 2015, has become popular all over the world after the February 6, 2023 Gaziantep-Kahramanmaraş earthquake.
So how did he predict earthquakes? Can astrologers predict natural disasters on earth based on some planetary positions in the sky?
